Love your comment JC Austin.. my girlfriend was at the All Star game last night and was getting crap from all the DBack fans crying how the Yankees "buy" championships... luckily she knows her stuff and aptly defended herself...had them "crying" in their beers when she ripped them all new one educating them about the history of baseball :) - Tommy D

The luxury tax is basically a tax on being successful. If some of these teams/owners can't keep up, sell the team to someone that has self-motivation, drive, and personal ambition to get the job done. You already have the formula for success in running a baseball team.....the New york Yankees and George Steinbrener. Give your fans what they deserve, which is a contender, not a cry baby. Its easy to be a quitter and blame your surroundings for your problems. Spend some sleepless nights and come up with a plan or get out of the business. Your choice. Sounds very similar to some of those that live off of Government entitlements, paid for by the hard workering. Some are on their third generation of living off the efforts of others. NO SYMPATHY FOR CRY BABIES IN BASEBALL OR ELSEWHERE. 'Nuff said. - nymick
