It seems as if the affair between an employer (Jamie McCourt) and an employee (the limo driver) was viewed as irrelevant by the court.

That basically means that Jamie McCourt is free to act as she wishes with no consequences and the result is she would continue to draw a huge contract while publicly humiliating her husband, or get a huge settlement if their divorce goes through.

I feel that poor behavior that results in a reward no matter what happens keeps women back. Tiger Woods lost big time for his behavior, but Jamie McCourt seems headed to a lucrative financial reward no matter how she behaves. - Alessandro Machi

In response to when and where the McCourts were married...

They were married in the Boston area on Nov. 3, 1979, 29 years and 8 months to the separation. - Maury Brown

What is the situation of their marriage?

The Moores were married 45 years, from what I recall. If the McCourt document she signed was in 2004, that could mean that they married around then, as it would be unusual to have your current wife sign such a document signing over community property. If so, presumably he was already this wealthy before the marriage and would want to protect his assets.

That would mean that she's the one trying to rewrite history. Plus the length of marriage usually comes into play if things are not split in half, the court would account for length in how much is awarded.

Was the marriage in California, a joint property state? Then it would be very important for Frank to have that document, else he can kiss half good-bye.

What is her background? Was she already making $2M per year? Was she a business executive with the background to be a CEO?

Was the purchase of the Dodgers happening right when they were getting married? Or before?

In any case, it seems to get worse and worse with each new revelation. Has there ever been such a situation with an owner before? The Moores appear different in that they were together 45 years and the wife was not made CEO. Has a wife ever been made CEO?

Anybody seen any public comment on this by the O'Malley family? I wonder if they regret selling to McCourt now.

Colletti was smart. He got himself a 3 year contract now, plus the divorce should give him a good excuse for any problems over the next 3 seasons, so he probably can talk himself into another contract at that time. - obsessivegiantscompulsive
