It's gratifying to see that someone understands that this does not bode well for the Mets or Sterling. How much money was withdrawn and when was it withdrawn? If the Trustee does his job and goes after the Mets and Sterling with the same approach as Picower, I think there may be a lot more than $48mm in clawbacks coming. After all Wilpon, through various investment entities, had many, many accounts with Bernie, established over many years. It strains the imagination that all they got back was their principal plus $48mm. I don't think so! - bernie bars

More Post Season/World Series Day Games Please

MLB needs to have day games in the Post Season.

Reason number one is the weather. Playing games in late October and early November are often played in cold climate cities-this year, Philadelphia and New York. Day games scheduled for 4 p.m. on the east coast would allow for slightly warmer playing conditions. Also, if there is a rain delay, then it does not have to go way to late into the night like last season did.

Reason number two is the kids would get an opportunity to see these games live and get hooked on the game. The later the games, fewer kids will be watching. The kids are the future fans.

Lastly, there is something special about day games. Post Season games should always be a mix of day and night games.

Every other team fled Florida -- there was no one for their instructional leagues to compete again. It would be all intrasquad after the Cards went to DR. The Mets are fielding two teams. Adam Rubin has the rosters:

"The Mets are fielding two teams in the instructional league they've shifted from Port St. Lucie to the Dominican Republic."
