Major League minimum salary - 2011: $400,000, plus cost-of-living adjustment (COLA)
- 2010: $400,000
- 2009: $400,000

- 2004: $300,000
- 2003: $300,000
Minor League minimum salary (for players on 40-man rosters for at least the second year or for players with at least one day of major league service)
- 2009: $65,000
- 2008: $62,500
- 2007: $60,000
- 2006: $54,500
- 2005: $52,600
Under the 2007-11 CBA, the new minimum for a player placed on the 40-man roster for the first time is $30,000 (50% of minor league minimum).
