Bizball Radio

Welcome to another edition of Bizball Radio

Tick... tick... tick... Time is running out in the NFL (to get a full season in), the NBA (a week till there is a lockout), and the Dodgers (Frank McCourt might miss payroll). With this incredible intersection of historic events in sports business, this week's podcast is chocked-full of great information

Our upfront discussion begins with a whether Indy Car is making a comeback after the incredible finish at the Indianapolis 500. Producer Ted Price has been going to the race for years, and we discuss. Along with that, Maury talks about his article for Forbes that has had Major League Baseball taking a closer look at incoming Houston Astros owner, Jim Crane.

Our exclusive interview this week is with Associate Professor of Law at Tulane University and the Director of its Sports Law Program, Gabe Feldman. Gabe is an often sourced expert in the media, and is a must-follow on Twiiter @SportsLawGuy. Gabe and Maury break down the latest proposal by the NFL to the players that look like the best chance to end the lockout in the league that is now over 100 days old. We look at the revenue breakdown and whether it's a win or loss for each side in the labor dispute. From there, the conversation shifts to the NBA, and whether there's any hope of avoiding a lockout, and finally, Gabe and Maury talk the churn around the Dodgers.
