As MLB salary arbitration in 2011 moves into the next phase, we have updated the site to provide you with salary figures that are exchanged between the remaining 37 players and their controlling clubs.
The table has the following:
- Player name

- Salary player earned in 2010
- What player is seeking in 2011
- What club is offering in 2011
“Resolution” – reaching agreement in advance of salary arbitration hearing, or the salary outcome of a hearing ruling (in favor of the player or club figure)
Reigning AL MVP Josh Hamilton has the highest gap between the asking and offering figures. He is seeking $12 million while the Rangers are offering $8.7 million, a difference of $3.3 million. The midpoint between the two is $10.35 million.
Jose Batista of the Toronto Blue Jays has the second largest gap. The league’s homerun leader for 2010 is seeking $10.5 million while the Jays have offered $7.6 million, a difference of $2.9 million. The mid-point between the two figures is $9.05 million.
The only other player seeking salary above $10 million is Astros SP Wandy Rodriguez. He is seeking $10$10.025 million while the Astros have offered $8 million, a difference of $2.25 million. The mid-point for Rodriguez and the Astros is $9.125 million. Last year, the Astros and Rodriguez went all the way to hearing where the Astros won, and with it, Rodriguez earned the club’s offering figure for 2010 of $5 million.
