Yahoo's Tim Brown tweets that the Chicago Cubs have agreed to terms with outfielderXavier Nady on a one-year contract worth a guaranteed $3.3 million with an additional $2 million in incentives. The deal is pending a physical.

Nady missed all but seven games of 2009 due to Tommy John surgery, which means the Cubs' medical staff will be called on to do their due diligence before passing him. Nady had an exceptional 2008, his first year in a primary starting role. His career best batting line of .305/.357/.510 split between New York and Pittsburgh was enough to earn him a $6.55 million deal to avoid arbitration last offseason.
