MLBOn Monday, there were 12 contracts reached that had players and clubs avoiding salary arbitration. But, that was just the beginning. . . .

At 12:00pm ET marking the deadline for players and clubs to reach agreements before having to exchange salary figures, this day on MLB’s calendar is one of the busiest.

Last year there were 111 players that filed for salary arbitration, and by the deadline, there were 48 that exchanged figures with their respective clubs.

This year, there were 128 that filed, and by the end of today… Well, strap yourself in, and check back often. There will be updates, aplenty. Already, there has been the Phillies Chad Durbin and Rockies Ryan Spilborghs with a multi-year deal for Mariners’ ace, Felix Hernandez coming pending a physical.

Check The Biz of Baseball’s salary arbitration tracker for the latest.
