According to Nick Piecoro of the AZ Republic, the Arizona Diamondbacks have reached a 1-year, $3.1 million deal with left fielder Conor Jackson, thus avoiding salary arbitration on the last day of the filing period. The salary for 2010 is a 2 percent increase from the $3.05 million he made last year.

In 30 games and 99 ABs last year, Jackson’s slash line was .182/.264/.253 with an OPS of .516.

Jackson's signing reduces the number of arbitration eligible players to 130. The D-Backs remaining arbitration eligible players include Stephen Drew, Miguel Montero, Chad Qualls, Aaron Heilman and Edwin Jackson and have until today to file.
