Billy Beane on MLB Network

I can’t imagine how often Billy Beane has been asked/ribbed/pestered on the fact that Brad Pitt will be portraying him in the movie version of Moneyball, but MLB Network had some fun on the topic when the A’s general manager appeared on the network’s Hot Stove segment, which has been airing daily from the winter meetings.

Beane talked about the difficulties last season, as well as the challenges of being a low revenue maker in the Oakland market. I talked to Beane after the segment (happy to know he reads us) and has agreed to an interview on The Biz of Baseball shortly.
