Baseball Winter Meetings

Trades, Trade Show, signings, MLB, MiLB, this is the stuff of the Baseball Winter Meetings that begin on Monday in Indianapolis.

The Biz of Baseball will be on the ground starting on Sunday eveving, reporting from the event. There will be breaking news as it happens, but also special reports the likes of which others won’t be covering (How is the economy hitting the industry as a whole? Are bat makers feeling the crunch (literally) with the focus on maple bats breaking? These, and more).

While the winter meetings are about the business of baseball, it’s also about baseball’s biggest get-together. Visit my personal blog SPORTS BASH (http://www.maurybrown.com) for stories on what’s happening in the halls and bars at the meetings. You never know who you might see.

I'll also be updating often on Twitter @BizballMaury

I also will be speaking at the Baseball Career Conference being hosted by Sports Management Worldwide, Lynn University, and Baseball America at 4:15pm. See the listing of speakers ranging from Ned Colletti to Jerry Crasnick to Jeff Idelson to Will Carroll along with registration info.
