The last of the St . Louis Cardinals players in salary arbitration has reached a settlement. Outfielder Ryan Ludwick has reportedly reached a 1-year, $3.7 million deal with the Cardinals. He was seeking $4.25 million in salary arbitration while the Cardinals had been offering $2.8 million, a difference of $2.379 million. The 1-year agreement will see Ludwick earn $175,000 above the $3.525 million mid-point between offering and requesting figures. According to Jayson Stark of ESPN, Ludwick can earn another $100,000 if he gets 675 plate appearances this year -- $25,000 if he reaches 625 trips, another $25,000 at 650 and another $50,000 if he gets to 675.
