Jackie Robinson
written by TomG1, April 15, 2009
appreciate the the major roll Jackie Robinson played in baseball history along with many, many others , but I must admit I'm growing tired of the never ending honors and celebrations bestowed upon him. I think it is great that MLB has retired Jackie's number , but I wonder how in the world can you retire his number and not "Mr Baseball" Babe Ruth's number . I realize a lot of this has to do with baseball trying so hard to be "PC" and also trying to get more people interested in the game. I think you should be just as concerned with the fans who support the game every day,and have been for years. I for one will not be watching any games today , and it's a shame baseball didn't put this much effort in cleaning up steroids years ago......Tom

P.S With out Babe Ruth saving the game from the BLACK SOX gambling scandal there is no Jackie Robinson
