New Nationals BallparkA key milestone in the new Washington Nationals ballpark will take place tomorrow, July 11th.

The DC Sports and Entertainment Commission (DCSEC), along with Clark/Hunt/Smoot, the joint venture in charge of building the new stadium will hold a “Topping Out” celebration.

This significant milestone in the construction of the new ballpark—the placement of the last structural steel is also known as “topping out.”

The celebration begins at Noon with a barbecue lunch for the construction workers followed at 1PM ET by congratulatory remarks by DC Mayor Adrian Fenty and other special guests.
