MLBRain, rain, go away. That's what Major League Baseball is looking to do.

With several games rained out during the 2006 post-season, baseball is looking to adjust the playoff format to give more buffer space in case of bad weather. Game 2 of the ALDS was rained out last year, as was Game 5 of the NLCS and Game 4 of the World Series. With that, MLB is working the calendar. Hal Bodley of USA Today is reporting that, "Major League Baseball and the players union are negotiating format changes to the Division Series and League Championship Series that will create more open dates in case inclement weather forces postponements."

Both MLB spokesman Rich Levin and MLBPA COO Gene Orza have confirmed the talks.
