RoyalsThe Office of the Commissioner of Baseball announced today that Kansas City Royals Minor League player Tyrone Wilson has been suspended for 50 games for failure to take a drug test, a violation of the Minor League Drug Prevention and Treatment Program. The suspension will be effective on June 23rd, the date of the first game of the season for the Arizona League Royals.

This is the first ruling and suspension involving failure to take a drug test. The drug testing program treats a failure to test as a positive.

This violation has been added to the on-going list of drug violations that The Biz of Baseball is tracking.
