Tanks from the TwinsNot that anyone in the Twin Cities area is hoping that the price of gas will increase, but if you’re a Twins fan, the average price of gas will translate into a discount at the Metrodome.

The Twins have launched the “Tanks From the Twins” promotion where a ticket discount is equal to the equivalent of the national average for the price of a gallon of gasoline.

The amount of the ticket discount will adjust each Monday morning reflecting the most current national average for a gallon of gas. During that week, a single-game ticket in the Upper Club and Lower Reserved sections of the Metrodome purchased for any game during the 2008 season will be discounted by that amount.

Bookmark this news to see where the discount moves over the course of the year. As of Tuesday, June 3rd, the Twins are offering a discount of $3.98.
