MLBOn the first day that players are allowed to file for Free Agency the following 57 players filed pursuant to Article XX B (2) of the Basic Agreement (read the Basic Agreement here). Players have 15 days from the end of the World Series to file. On the 16th day after the end of the World Series, free agents may negotiate and sign with a Club other than their former Club.

Mentionable players that filed for Free Agency today include Barry Bonds, Torii Hunter, Paul LoDuca, David Eckstein, Mariano Riveria, Jorge Posada, and Alex Rodriguez.
