TwinsThe Minnesota Twins announced tonight that they have postponed the Thursday afternoon game vs. Kansas City because of the tragic events which took place on the I-35W bridge in Minneapolis.

In deference to the tragedy, the Twins, Hennepin County and the Minnesota Ballpark Authority have also postponed Thursday evening's new ballpark groundbreaking ceremony.

The Twins will have more information regarding the rescheduled game and the groundbreaking ceremony will be forthcoming, as details become available.

As reported by CNN:

At least six people were killed when an interstate bridge in Minneapolis, Minnesota, collapsed Wednesday evening, plunging cars and chunks of concrete into the Mississippi River below.

There were "lots" of injuries, the state Homeland Security and Emergency Management Department said.
